Complete Closure of 29th Ave. from Gray St. to Ingalls St. scheduled to begin 6/11/19.
Starting on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, 29th Ave. will be completely closed from Gray St. to Ingalls St. This closure should last approximately two weeks.
The City of Wheat Ridge will begin implementing the improvement plan for W. 29th Avenue approved recently by City Council which will include closure of W. 29th and detours for those driving east and west bound.
The plan calls for improvements to landscaping, adding new curb, gutter and sidewalks, moving of utilities as well as the straightening of the road between Fenton and Kendall.
The plan will be staged over the course of more than 200 days and will include closures and detours. Businesses along W.. 29th will remain open. In addition to the realignment of W. 29th Avenue between Kendall Street and Fenton Street, the City is proposing construction of curb and gutter, detached sidewalks with a landscape / amenity zone or on-street parking with an attached sidewalk, and drainage improvements along this section of West 29th Avenue.
Access to residences and businesses adjacent to the project may be temporarily disrupted during construction.
Check back for updates on the closures planned for W. 29th. This is an ongoing project.
