Public Works

Responsibilities


The Public Works Department is responsible for:
  • Maintaining and improving the City’s infrastructure, which includes 133 miles of streets and 36 miles of storm sewers throughout the City.
  • Managing and maintaining the City’s fleet vehicles and equipment.
  • Administering and monitoring all construction activities within the streets rights of way.
    The Public Works Department is also responsible for assisting the Community Development Department in reviewing commercial and residential development projects and building permit applications as related to land surveying and engineering matters.
